What is Compounding?

Compounding is the art of taking raw chemicals and combining them according to formulas to create a medication designed for a specific need in a specific patient. By compounding a medication, we are able to give patients a medication tailored especially for them. We have the capability of making anything from topical preparations to sterile I.V. medications.
